The security of your data and the data of others is Oribi WorkpassID's highest priority. That is why you should add extra security to your account with two-step verification. This method makes it much harder for hackers to break into your Oribi WorkpassID account.
Why do I need to do this?
On many websites, you log in with a username, often your email address, and a password. Unfortunately, hackers sometimes break into websites and steal login details. They then misuse these details to log in to other systems, such as WorkpassID. Because WorkpassID contains a lot of personal details, two-step verification is mandatory.
Two-step verification makes your WorkpassID account much more secure. It protects not only your own data, but also your colleagues’ data. It is an extra code that you use in addition to your username and password. Use an authenticator app on your phone to generate this extra code.
Setting it up for the first time
-
Install the Google Authenticator app on your phone.
On an iPhone, open the App Store and search for Google Authenticator.
On an Android device, such as Samsung, open the Play Store and search for Google Authenticator. The app is free and the publisher is Google LLC.
Log in to WorkpassID at https://portal.bouwpas.nl/ with your username and password. If two-step verification is mandatory for you, a screen will appear immediately where you can set it up.
Open the Google Authenticator app.
Tap Begin setup.
Tap Scan barcode. The camera will now open.
Scan the QR code shown in WorkpassID with your phone.
The code is now set up.
Done. From now on, a six-digit code will appear when you open the authenticator app. This code changes every 30 seconds. Each time you log in, WorkpassID will ask for this code in addition to your username and password.
Good to know about the Authenticator
Setting up two-step verification makes your account much more secure. Please keep the following points in mind:
You cannot set up two-step verification on a second device later.
You must always have access to your phone to log in.
Set up the Authenticator again when you get a new phone.
I have a new phone
You can only use one phone at a time for two-step verification. If you have lost your old phone or reset it, you have also lost the code that was set up. You will no longer be able to log in.
Enter your username and password and click the No device option. This allows you to set up your new phone. The code on your old phone will expire immediately.
