Oribi WorkpassID has long worked with contacts who log in using an SMS code. For some time now, WorkpassID has also offered the option to log in with an account using a username and password. WorkpassID recommends that all users switch to accounts with a username and password, because SMS login will be phased out in the future. This article explains how to manage your contacts effectively.
Why is logging in with SMS not recommended?
Using a code sent by SMS to log in was one of the safer methods of user authentication for many years. In recent years, better and easier methods have been developed.
Two-step verification, with a code that appears on your smartphone and changes every 30 seconds, is now a well-known and secure method.
Managing contacts
Over the years, we have seen at WorkpassID that many contractors use different ways of working. Some larger contractors have a planning or administration department that handles registrations for work sites. At other contractors, different people handle the registration, depending on the project.
Decide who is set as a contact for your vault by following these steps:
Log in as a subcontractor and choose the company for which you want to manage contacts.
Click Contacts in the menu on the left.
Create accounts for the people who handle registrations in WorkpassID. Some colleagues may already have an account because they have logged in before. Create a new account for a colleague via New account.
Choose which users are administrators in the list of users.
Only administrators can be assigned as contacts.
(Optional) Click Settings and select the option Allow only administrators.... Click Save.
Clients can now only choose from your specified list of administrators when they add you to a project. They can no longer add new contacts to your vault. This gives you better control over your vault.
