When you are added to Oribi WorkpassID for the first time, your client chooses for you whether you are a self-employed worker or a subcontractor. If this is incorrect, your company must be converted. A conversion can only be carried out by the main client (Organisation) or by the Oribi Service Desk. Here you will find the instructions.
Steps to be converted
If you have been enrolled incorrectly (for example, as a self-employed worker instead of a subcontractor), you cannot change this yourself. Your client cannot do this for you either. If your company has been enrolled incorrectly, the organisation manager (of the project where you work) can convert the company, possibly with help from Oribi support.
Do not enter any details yet and do not invite any companies yet
Contact the organisation of the project where you work by email (with support@bouwpas.nl in the CC) and by telephone
Inform the organisation that you have been enrolled incorrectly, as a self-employed worker or subcontractor
The organisation manager can convert your company
Register the correct details in WorkpassID
What happens after a conversion?
If a company is converted from self-employed worker to subcontractor, the assessments of the self-employed worker are deleted.
If a subcontractor is converted to self-employed worker, the assessments of the subcontractor are deleted. We do retain earlier assessments, so that the organisation's records remain complete. The self-employed worker does not need to be added again, but the client and/or self-employed worker still has to enter client details. After that, the self-employed worker receives a new invitation to enter their details.
Please note! You must enter different details if you are a self-employed worker rather than an employee in paid employment (or vice versa). If a signature has already been provided at the work location, you must provide a (digital) signature again.
The paragraph below specifically describes Dutch law
What is the difference between a self-employed worker and a subcontractor in the Netherlands?
A sole proprietorship is an official legal form registered with the KvK for a self-employed person. If you have a sole proprietorship, this does not always mean that you are a self-employed worker. A sole proprietorship can employ staff, whereas a self-employed worker always works without staff. In Oribi WorkpassID and according to the law, a subcontractor is a self-employed person or B.V. with staff in paid employment. It has a G-rekening and a verklaring betalingsgedrag for social security contributions.
