My VAT number is not valid, what now?

In Oribi WorkpassID you are asked to enter your VAT number (also known as: turnover tax number). The system automatically checks your VAT number. It may happen that the system indicates that your VAT number is incorrect.

Oribi WorkpassID uses the official VAT checker of the European Commission: VIES (VAT Information Exchange System). You can find more information about this system on the website of the European Commission.

The VAT number is invalid, what now?

1. Check whether you have made a typing error

2. Check in the list of VAT numbers whether you are entering the correct number

3. You can complete your enrolment, even if you make a mistake when entering it
