In De Bouwpas you will be asked to enter your VAT number (also known as the sales tax number). The system automatically checks this number. It is possible that the system reports that your VAT number is incorrect.
De Bouwpas uses the official VAT checker of the European Commission: VIES (VAT Information Exchange System). You can find more information about that system on this website.
The VAT number is invalid, what now?
- Check if you may have made a typo
- Check the list of VAT numbers to see whether you submitted the correct number
- You can also complete your registration even if you make a mistake while typing.
