With Oribi WorkpassID you create a Safety Instruction so that everyone arrives at your construction site prepared. Here you can read how to set up a Safety Instruction.
What are the options?
How do you structure your Safety Instruction?
You can start with media, and then run a test with a number of questions you determine yourself. You also decide how many questions must be answered correctly to pass.
You can start with media and then simply ask whether the viewer wants to confirm that they have understood it.
You can choose not to add any media and only run a test.
Validity?
You can give your Safety Instruction a validity period, or make it valid indefinitely
For all your projects?
You can create a project-specific Safety Instruction or a Safety Instruction that applies to all your projects at once.
How many questions? What is the pass mark?
You can, for example, create 5 questions and make sure those are always asked.
You can also create 50 questions and have WorkpassID always pick 10 of them at random
In addition, you can set how many questions must be answered correctly to qualify as 'passed'.
Please note: the participant can mark only one question as correct. So set up your questions in such a way that only one answer is the correct one.
Creating a Safety Instruction
Log in to WorkpassID
-
In the menu on the left, click Safety Instructions
You now see the list of Safety Instructions that have been set up for your projects. If you are doing this for the first time, the list is probably empty.
Click New Safety Instruction
Enter the name of your Safety Instruction. For example "Introduction [project name]"
-
Under linked to, choose which project this PI should be active on.
The list also includes all Organisations you work for. If you choose an Organisation, the PI is active for every project under that Organisation.
Under Welcome text you can write a short note about what you expect from the person who is going to complete the PI. You may also leave this empty.
Under the heading Media you can choose which type of media you want to add (YouTube, Vimeo or something else). Look at the examples to paste the correct link. Make sure this is correct, otherwise the media may not work.
Click Save Safety Instruction and the PI is created.
Filling the Safety Instruction with topics, questions and answers
Once you have created the Safety Instruction, it does not yet have any content. As a result, you also cannot activate the Safety Instruction yet. Here you can read how to do that.
Find your Safety Instruction in the list.
Click the hamburger menu (the three horizontal lines).
Click Edit topics.
-
Click Add topic to add your first topic.
Do you not want to differentiate between topics? You still always add one topic. Name it 'General', for example.
Click Save.
Now you can get started creating the questions and answers.
Find your Safety Instruction in the list
-
Click the black arrow pointing downwards to open the content of the Safety Instruction.
You see your topics listed.
Under the correct topic, click Add question
Enter the question under Title of the question
Enter two answers under the answers.
Click Add answer if you want to add more answer options
Do not forget to tick on the left which answer is the correct answer.
The answers are shown in random order. So do not use the answer 'All of the above answers are correct', but rather 'All answers are correct'.
Click Save question when you are finished.
Making the Safety Instruction active or archiving it
In WorkpassID, a Safety Instruction has three possible statuses: active, inactive and archived.
Inactive: The Safety Instruction is switched off and the old results are no longer valid.
Active: The Safety Instruction is switched on.
Archived: The Safety Instruction is switched off, but old results remain valid.
Find your Safety Instruction in the list
Click the hamburger menu (the three horizontal lines).
Click Project settings
Before you can set a Safety Instruction to active, you first need to complete a few settings.
Set the number of questions to ask. The participant must always answer this many questions.
Set the pass mark. The participant must answer this many questions correctly to pass.
Optionally, set the validity. After this many months, a participant's Safety Instruction expires and they receive a reminder to complete it again.
Once you set a Safety Instruction to active, it is immediately mandatory for the participants on your project(s). So coordinate its introduction with your colleagues.
Insight into the status of participants
It is very easy to get insight into how many people on your project have completed the Safety Instruction. You can find that information in the reporting screen of your project.
Go to your project in WorkpassID
Open the Companies tab
In the menu on the left, click Safety Instruction
Here you see everyone who is enrolled on your project. You also see whether they have completed the Safety Instruction, which Safety Instruction it was and when it may expire.
You can filter on the different statuses by clicking on them.
