How to turn location data on or off

For some functionalities the Oribi WorkpassID app asks for access to your phone's location data. The app asks for this itself when needed. If you want to change the setting later, you may need to search for it. Here you can learn how to turn location data for the Oribi WorkpassID app on and off.

Turning location on

Apple iPhone (iOS)

1. Go to the Settings app

2. Scroll down until you reach the list of your apps and choose Oribi WorkpassID

3. Tap Location under "Allow WorkpassID to access"

4. Choose Always

5. Turn on the switch next to Precise Location for reliable notifications

If you do not see the Location option (step 3), WorkpassID has not yet asked for your location on your phone. Just use the Oribi WorkpassID app as you normally would. When WorkpassID asks for your location, your phone will automatically show a prompt.

If you do not see the Always option (step 4), WorkpassID has not yet asked for your location (in the background) on your phone. Just use the Oribi WorkpassID app as you normally would. When WorkpassID asks for your location, your phone will automatically show a prompt.

Android (Samsung, Google, etc.)

1. Find the Oribi WorkpassID app on your phone

2. Long-press the Oribi WorkpassID app logo

3. Tap App info

4. Tap Permissions

5. Tap Location

6. Tap Allow all the time

7. Turn on the switch next to Use precise location for reliable notifications

If you do not see the Allow all the time option (step 6), WorkpassID has not yet asked for your location (in the background) on your phone. Just use the Oribi WorkpassID app as you normally would. When WorkpassID asks for your location, your phone will automatically show a prompt.

Turning location off
