In construction, it regularly happens that companies lend out personnel to other companies that need workers. Parties that provide this lending on a commercial basis are temp agencies and payroll companies. However, a contractor can also lend out personnel occasionally. Under the Waadi (Dutch Placement of Personnel by Intermediaries Act), a labour provider is required to report the lending of personnel to the Chamber of Commerce. With the Waadi check, an assessor in Oribi WorkpassID can see whether the report has been made to the KvK (Dutch Chamber of Commerce). This article explains exactly how that works.

Purpose and operation of the integration
If a subcontractor lends out personnel, this must be known to the Chamber of Commerce (KvK). For each assignment in the chain, WorkpassID asks a subcontractor whether or not they lend out personnel. The assessor sees the answer to this in the 'Waadi check' assessment step. If the contractor indicates that personnel is being lent out, the assessor must check whether this is also known to the KvK: the assessor performs the Waadi check. WorkpassID performs the check automatically at that moment and the result appears on screen immediately.
Is the subcontractor a foreign company that lends out personnel for activities it carries out in the Netherlands? Then that company is also required to register with the Chamber of Commerce. There it receives a KvK number and reports the lending of personnel. In other words: the Waadi check also applies to foreign companies.

Note: if the Chamber of Commerce carries out maintenance on its site, or experiences an outage, the live Waadi check may be temporarily unavailable. This will be clearly indicated when it happens.
Configuration options
There are no configuration options for the Waadi check, as it is always switched on for all users of the platform. It is only available in the Waadi check assessment step.
How does Oribi WorkpassID exchange information with the KvK?
When a company is created in WorkpassID for the first time and is added to a project, the system immediately checks the Waadi status. To do this, WorkpassID sends the KvK number to the Waadi check and immediately receives the status information back.
In the assessment task, the same information is sent and retrieved again. This way, the assessor always has a real-time view of the status.
