Oribi WorkpassID automatically carries out various checks on the data entered into the platform. This ensures that as little manual work as possible is required, and means you can rely on the information being current and trustworthy. In this article we explain which automatic checks Oribi WorkpassID performs and what this means for you as an organisation.
In addition to these checks, Oribi WorkpassID performs many more automatic checks. This article specifically describes the checks that are always carried out periodically with regards to Dutch laws and regulations. It therefore covers a portion of all the checks that are possible within Oribi WorkpassID.
Which checks does Oribi WorkpassID perform?
VCA
A Dutch VCA (Dutch safety, health and environment checklist for contractors) is valid for ten years. Around the expiry date, Oribi WorkpassID automatically checks whether the holder has since obtained a new VCA. If so, the new VCA is automatically retrieved from the Centraal Diploma Register (CDR). In doing so, we take over the certificate number, the type of VCA and the new expiry date. The CDR contains only Dutch and Belgian VCA certificates. Oribi WorkpassID can therefore only check certificates from these countries automatically.
When do we check?
Oribi WorkpassID carries out this check:
14, 7, 1 and 0 days before the expiry date
1, 3 and 7 days after the expiry date
In addition, a VCA certificate registered online is always rechecked at least once every 90 days.
GPI
A GPI is valid for one year. Around the expiry date, Oribi WorkpassID automatically checks whether the holder has obtained a new GPI. If this is the case, the new GPI certificate is automatically retrieved from the GPI register, including the new expiry date.
When do we check?
Oribi WorkpassID checks daily whether the GPI certificate has been renewed:
from 14 days before the expiry date
up to 30 days after the expiry date
If the certificate has still not been renewed after 30 days, it is checked again as soon as the worker's details are updated.
KvK registration
Every company registered in the Oribi WorkpassID platform is automatically checked at least once a month. As part of this, Oribi WorkpassID retrieves current information from the Trade Register of the KvK (Dutch Chamber of Commerce).
Does this check reveal that a company has been deregistered? If so, the associated assessment tasks in Oribi WorkpassID are automatically marked as updated. The assessor can then determine whether further action is required.
Insolvency register
Oribi WorkpassID automatically checks the insolvency register of Rechtspraak.nl. When a new entry is found for a company in Oribi WorkpassID, the relevant assessments are automatically updated.
An entry in the insolvency register may relate to a suspension of payment, a bankruptcy or the lifting of a suspension of payment. Oribi WorkpassID only records that an entry has been found. Unfortunately, the type of entry cannot be distinguished automatically.
SNA
For every company in the platform, Oribi WorkpassID indicates whether an SNA (Stichting Normering Arbeid) certification is in place. This certification is important for the client's indemnification. The SNA check is an option, but the check itself is always carried out. When an organisation makes SNA mandatory for temp agencies and a company does not appear in the register of the Stichting Normering Arbeid, an assessment task is automatically created as soon as the temp agency is added to the chain.
SNF
The Stichting Normering Flexwonen maintains the register of organisations that meet the standard for housing migrant workers and oversees compliance with it. Within assessment tasks, Oribi WorkpassID indicates whether a company holds this certification. When a company is not SNF-certified, this has no automatic consequences within Oribi WorkpassID.
ABU
The ABU (Algemene Bond Uitzendondernemingen) is a trade association for temp agency businesses. Within assessment tasks, Oribi WorkpassID indicates whether a company is a member of the ABU. If a company is not a member, this has no automatic consequences within Oribi WorkpassID.
NBBU
The NBBU is a trade association for intermediaries. Companies that are members of the NBBU always hold an SNA mark and, when they deploy migrant workers, an SNF mark as well. Within assessment tasks, Oribi WorkpassID indicates whether a company is a member of the NBBU. If a company is not a member, this has no automatic consequences within Oribi WorkpassID.
