This article specifically describes Dutch laws and regulations
Two terms that are often used together are A1 certificates and the WASP. Here we explain how they relate.
What is an A1 certificate?
With an A1 certificate you prove that you pay your social security contributions in another country. You need an A1 certificate if you work in the EU, the EEA (including Switzerland), or in a country with which the Netherlands has a social security treaty.

Turkey
Are you coming to work in the Netherlands temporarily (for up to 12 months) from Turkey? In that case, apply for the N/TUR 107 form from the Turkish Belastingdienst (Dutch Tax and Customs Administration).
More information about A1 certificates is available on the Ondernemersplein website.
What is a WASP?
WASP stands for: Werkgeversverklaring Afdracht Sociale Premies (employer's declaration of social security contribution payment).
A WASP is also referred to as a Loonbelastingverklaring (wage tax declaration).
Sometimes the organisation asks for extra assurance about your social security contributions, even when an A1 certificate is not required. In that case, the organisation asks for a WASP. You draw up this document yourself as the employer. In it, you state how you pay the contributions for the employee.
