The Portuguese rules distinguish four items: the contract type, the ordinary employment contract, the temporary-work agency contract and the self-employed service agreement.
Applies to projects that use the Portuguese compliance rules in Oribi WorkpassID.
How WorkpassID handles each item
Item | How it is handled |
|---|---|
Employment contract type | Requested and assessed for employed workers under the chain liability subcontractor or Supplier role. Not requested for self-employed workers or for the project's own organisation |
Ordinary employment contract | Not requested as an upload. The signing statements of the worker address whether a written contract exists, where required |
Temporary-work agency contract | Separate upload for workers of a subcontracting employer that declares it supplies workers |
Self-employed service agreement | Company-level upload for self-employed registrations under the chain liability subcontractor role |
The contract type options
The options represent permanent, fixed-term and very-short-term contracts. If no option describes the arrangement correctly, ask support. Do not select a value that is not accurate.
Selecting a contract type does not currently change other document requests. WorkpassID does not check whether the contract is lawful. The temporary-work upload does not apply to the organisation type "Part of a concern", even when its company-level agency authorisation is requested.
