The role of a company on the project decides which documents and checks Oribi WorkpassID asks for under the Portuguese rules.
Applies to projects that use the Portuguese compliance rules in WorkpassID.
The three roles you can select
Chain liability subcontractor. This is a deployment of the type "chain liability". Use it for subcontractors. WorkpassID uses it to decide which document requests apply. Under the Portuguese rules, you cannot select another subcontractor role.
Supplier. Use it for a company that delivers goods but does not carry out work on the project.
Own organisation. Use it for the lead organisation of the project, or for an eligible company under the same parent.
Choose the role that matches the real relationship. Do not select Supplier just to avoid the document requests for subcontractors.
What changes per role

For Own organisation, WorkpassID is configured not to ask for these items. This is not a legal exemption.
If the role is wrong
Contact the project administrator or support. If a self-employed person needs an Own organisation registration, ask support first.
A green status in WorkpassID does not mean that a party is protected from liability.
