In this article we explain what to do if you are not allowed on the construction site.
There can be several reasons why you are not allowed access to the construction site as a worker. For example, it is possible that an assessment is still open to your employer. The porter cannot solve this for you. The porter can see why you should not (yet) be allowed to enter the construction site.
Open assessment
The main contractor decides whether the company that deploys you can get to work on the construction site. It is possible that your client still lacks data in the system, so you and your colleagues are not yet allowed to work on the construction site. In that case, it is important that your employer or client contacts the assessors of the project, so they know what information is still missing and, if necessary, needs to be supplemented. This assessment can only be performed by the project assessor. Unfortunately, the porter and De Bouwpas cannot help you with this because of the laws and regulations.
Always provide the correct proof of identity
When you report to the construction site for the first time, the porter must check your details to see if you are the right person. For this it is important that you bring a valid ID to the construction site. A valid proof of identity in this case is a passport, ID card or Dutch residence permit.
A driving license is not sufficient because this document does not provide information about the residence status or nationality of a person. And that information is necessary if you are going to work on a construction site. A driving license is allowed after the first working day.
For the administration, certain data from the ID of workers is taken over. Do you want to know what data this concerns? You can read more about this in this article.
