The porter or operator checks the authenticity of workers who enter the construction site for the first time. He also checks whether the right person is in front of him. On some projects, a porter and/or operator also uses a Keesing ID scanner. This device scans the document and verifies the authenticity of the provided ID. Your ID will not be copied.
Workers from within the EEA
There will be on copies made of any ID's. The worker only shows the ID to the porter who only examines the document and checks it for authenticity. In addition, the porter checks details of the ID such as the passport number, expiry date and the SSN-number as included in De Bouwpas.
Workers from outside the EEA
A worker from outside the European Economic Region (EEA) is required to provide a copy of the passport. The Foreign Nationals (Employment) Act makes this compulsory for main contractors. The copy of the passport is supplied by the employer of the worker in advance, by uploading it at the profile of the foreign worker in De Bouwpas. The main contractor's assessor checks the copy of the passport and reports whether it is in order. If the worker comes from outside the EEA and a Keesing ID scanner is used on the project, a copy of the passport is made with the Keesing equipment, since this is required by law. This is securely stored in our data center. Curious about how we arrange the security of information? Read more about our ISO 27001 certification (Dutch).
