For employed workers, Oribi WorkpassID records statements from the employer. It does not ask for health programme documents or documents from occupational health and safety services.
Applies to projects that use the Portuguese compliance rules in WorkpassID.
For the legal background, see the FAQ: Occupational health checks on Portuguese construction sites
What the employer states
For employed-worker registrations under the roles chain liability subcontractor, Supplier and Own organisation, the employer statements cover:
notification of admission to social security,
holding the fitness-for-work record (ficha de aptidão),
organisation of occupational health and safety services.
For employed workers under the chain liability subcontractor role, the statements also cover payment by bank transfer and permitted deductions.
What WorkpassID does not ask for
The Portuguese rules don’t ask for the health surveillance programme or for the document from the occupational health and safety service as uploads. Do not upload clinical records into an unrelated document request. The employer keeps the evidence through its own occupational health arrangements.
What the statements mean
The statements do not create separate items that an assessor approves. They do not show that WorkpassID has checked a medical examination. Self-employed registrations use a different set of statements. A missing employer statement does not mean that self-employed workers are legally exempt.
