This setting determines whether companies can be added under the lead organisation (your own organisation on the project). This covers subcontractors, temp agencies and self-employed workers who are hired directly by the lead organisation.
Why would you use it?
Usually, you add companies as a contractor of the project, not under the lead organisation. Only turn this setting on if the lead organisation hires companies itself that do not belong on the project as a contractor. The wrong choice can mix up the chain and the assessments.
Applies to
Project level
You can find this setting in the project settings, on the Fair tab in the Oribi WorkpassID Project settings block.
A red warning appears below the drop-down list:
Note: only use this function if you fully understand it. You may not receive support if you do something wrong.
Options
No (default setting)
You cannot add companies under the lead organisation. On the lead organisation's company page, the following message appears under Subcontractors and temp agencies and under Self-employed workers/partnerships:
You cannot add companies here. Contact your organisation administrator to turn this setting on.
The buttons to add a new subcontractor or a new temp agency are hidden.

➖ The lead organisation cannot add companies to its own chain
Yes
You can add companies on the lead organisation's company page. A warning then appears: only add companies here that are hired directly by the lead organisation, and do not add contractors here.
➕ The lead organisation can add its own subcontractors and temp agencies
➖ A contractor that is added here by mistake is not treated as a contractor in assessments
